The Optimum Opti-Flex 7 Inch Rotary Backing Plate features a 5/8 -11 internal thread. The plate is surrounded by soft, flexible urethane with a curved edge to protect the paint from accidental contact. The heavy duty hook and loop fasteners hold a pad securely to prevent sling-off. A centering hole enables you to perfectly center the pad to prevent wobbling.Use the Optimum Opti-Flex 7 Inch Rotary Backing Plate with any 7.5 - 8 inch pad with hook and loop fasteners. If used with Optimum 8 Inch Single Sided Pads, the Optimum Opti-Flex 7 Inch Rotary Backing Plate perfectly aligns with the hook and loop backing on the pads for a strong hold. The size of Optimum pads also provides an adequate buffer zone between the Optimum Opti-Flex 7 Inch Rotary Backing Plate and the edge of the pad.
